race 2: bottom level turfers go a mile and an eighth, and the shippers looks like the one. Fuse Quick will be an overlay because of his no cal company, but he fits like a glove down here against this sad bunch.

race 5. Freedom's Key. this one will be a monster price for the very sharp beau greely. he's got with approval on the top and bering on the bottom, so turf should be to his liking. in fact, the comment line, "climbing early" often means a horse doesn't like the dirt kicked in his face and may fare better on the green. some others in here have proven form, so i'm looking to blow up the tote board at 30/1 or so. i'd also take a look at right proof on the outside at a big price.

race 7: sotrming home. i'd be surprised if he doesn't get bet, but i'm hoping all the money flocks to mandella's the tin man and frankel's denon. let me say this-- storming home is a freaking monster, has faced the best in europe and should be cranked in this spot. i wish mulhall would put night life in an easier spot as he's just not quite grade 1 material.

race 9: royal robe. backing the first time import for the aguirre barn. gf can ride and we should get a decent price on this one.

depends on what you're comfortable playing - i.e, if you're a trifecta bettor, i'd use him in the first three slots, if you play the pick 3 or the double, i'd include him on all tickets. for those just getting started, here's my advice on a horse like freedom's key. deciding whether to bet him to place and show depends on the composition of the rest of the field. in this case, the other horses are all "legitimate" i.e., there's no counterfeit favorite(s) who may run off the board. therefore, freedom is going likely going to have to run a sharp race to win (not just win by default b/c the rest of the horses stink), so it's very likely that one of the first two choices will hit the board. so, i'd play him just to win and place, knowing that you may be missing out on a $8.00 show payoff if he happens to run third. personally, i'll be betting him to win-place and including him on a pick 6 ticket.

Thank you - My limited experience talls me to play only win tkts. At the end of day I am better off. When in Vegas I like to play the drop dead favorite to show and just let the money ride. Have run a $10 to close to $300 couple times. Just to stay in action.

nice job mazel, went big on storming home and he sure did storm home, set a stakes record as well. I went triple, I said if I lost I wasn't going to bet the horses anymore, but it rolled and salvaged my day. Im out for a saturday night on that note. Thanks for the winner-later, tough break on the 5th one too, it was right there. I made some money on fuse quick as well. Later
